The Standard
The Ibizan Hound's unique conformation allows for easy and efficient athleticism. On the stack he is a dog of moderation. In the field he is aglow with life and vigour. The ibizan Hounds gait should have proper flexion, but not without equal and necessary reach and drive. Their is NO wasted movement in his efficient gait. His should not be a flat, or sweeping movement which is common in the sighthound ring. Rather (and maybe out of place), he should show flexing of his joints along with proper and full extension. The terrain of his native hunting ground requires this lifting (not a hackney) in order to navigate over high brush and rocky outcroppings.
